Let me know if you come across any gems, I am always looking for something new. I know some people think there is a bit too much RNG involved, but I think it's all about picking the right equipment and strategically planning your path and approach in each level. While it is a puzzle crawler, it's very different. If it's really better than Grindstone, I'm super excited! But I'll temper my expectations just to be safe. I would have liked levels designed to force you to switch it up so that you have to think strategically about your approach.

I got locked into the ice arrow, standard shield and aggro arrow pretty early on because they were the most useful, and I didn't find I needed anything else. I just wore the treasure chest suit to reduce the health of the chests, except in the skeleton levels where the skeleton armour prevents their attacks. Maybe my play style's just better suited to this game? 🤷‍♂ I regularly changed my gear and strategy to avoid wasting equipment for only incremental progress. I wish Gridnstone had pushed me to switch my strategy up a bit to keep things fresh. Card of Darkness had me regularly changing my equipped cards because new levels demanded a different approach and strategy depending on the featured enemy and status cards.

I also felt there was little reason or incentive to change my equipment. What I felt was that the levels didn't vary enough toward the end. I think it would be better played on an iPad than it is on a phone. I've been trying to get into Lego Builder's Journey but I find the controls finicky. Again, not Amanita's most complex game but it certainly oozes their regular charm. Pilgrims is great, a fun puzzle that can be done over and over with varying results. It's enjoyable, and I can't wait for the next chapter, but I know that some people like to wait for all instalments of a game before playing it.Īssembled with Care is enjoyable, but limited and I don't think it is up to par with the rest of their games. It was a bit disappointing because by the time I managed to really get into the game I was done and have to wait for the next chapter. I like Guildlings a lot, but note that it is a game in instalments, and only instalment one is out so far. I hope you enjoy it and I haven't over hyped it. I haven't yet but it's already in my Apple Arcade backlog! I'm excited to play it. Replying to but for me whenever I started to tire of the game there'd be a few levels that encouraged lots of chaining in a fun new way, fully renewing my interest.
